I currently have two pairs of these and until a mishap on a plane trip, were my go to for travel.
So why did I want them and why might you like them. These have some of the best noise cancellation available in earbuds and I love the way that they drown out the background. This are still my go to if I want noise cancellation (even over my ear / head phones).
Okay so having dropped an ear bud attempting to put them back into the charging case at the end of a late night flight and taking 15 mins to recover with earbud with the help of the cabin crew I will wear my over the ear phone when travelling now.
However when working in the office or in other noisy environments I will tend to wear these. One of the nice things about these earbuds is the ability to adjust the noise control and awareness modes easily and you have a wide range to select from.
The battery life isn’t class leading but they recharge quickly in the charging case and to be honest I can’t remember the battery actually running out. Though Bose state that they have around a 6 hour charge life and the case itself holds up to three full charges.
In terms of fitting the, they come with 3 pairs of eartips (S, M, L) and 3 pairs of stability bands (1, 2, 3) they should suit most people.
If you have a friend with a pair of these or can find a store where they can demonstrate them, ask them to show you the Cinema mode, that alone might encourage you to purchase a pair of these. Watching videos is on a new level.
Most of the negative reviews that I have read, tend to focus on Bose customer service rather than the quality of the product itself or the sound. However the one criticism that I will concur with is that these are not great outside when there is a breeze around. I am not sure whether I don’t have them fitted tightly enough but its not the best experience.
Anyway that hasn’t put me off buying a 2nd pair for convenience!
